Preparing a property for sale can involve far more than a quick clean and a fresh coat of paint. This Eden Hills home required a substantial transformation to improve its presentation, resolve maintenance issues and help buyers recognise its potential.

Cornerstone Renovations & Projects coordinated the entire preparation-for-sale makeover, bringing the property from a cluttered and tired condition to a clean, refreshed and market-ready home—all within four weeks.

The Challenge

The property needed extensive attention before it could be confidently presented to buyers. Personal belongings and unwanted items had to be cleared, worn carpeting needed replacement, internal surfaces required preparation and painting, and a range of maintenance issues had to be resolved.

The outdoor areas also needed significant work to improve the property’s presentation and create a stronger first impression.

A Coordinated Four-Week Makeover

Cornerstone provided one point of contact for the project and coordinated the different trades and tasks required to prepare the property for sale.

The completed work included:

• Clearing belongings and unwanted items from the property

• Landscaping throughout the outdoor areas

• Preparing and painting all internal walls and ceilings

• Removing old carpeting and installing plush new carpet

• Completing numerous maintenance and repair works

• Deep cleaning the property

• Completing required plumbing works

• Resurfacing cabinetry

• Repairing the irrigation system

• Mulching the garden beds.

By carefully scheduling each stage, we were able to keep the project moving efficiently and complete the extensive makeover within four weeks.

The Transformation

The photographs show the difference that coordinated preparation can make. Cluttered rooms were cleared, tired areas were refreshed, maintenance concerns were addressed and the home was presented as a cleaner, brighter and more inviting property.

The existing timber flooring became a strong visual feature once the room was cleared and professionally presented. In other areas, the new plush carpeting created a fresh, comfortable finish that helped the rooms feel ready for their next owner.

The Result

Once presented to the market, the Eden Hills property attracted exceptionally strong buyer interest. Multiple offers were received, and the property was under contract within two weeks.

The final result exceeded the vendor’s expectations and demonstrated the value of completing the right improvements before taking a property to market.
